The Columbarium at All Hallows

All Hallows Church includes a crypt where caskets of ashes can be permanently* stored. A plaque bearing the name of the loved one must be commissioned for the public-facing wall, for each inurnment.

There is also a Book of Remembrance displayed in the Columbarium. An inscription of up to 120 words can be made on its own page in this book.

Undertakers wishing to arrange for the inurnment of ashes in the Columbarium should use Form I, at the same time making Form II available to relatives to commission the required plaque. Relatives wishing to commission a page in the Book of Remembrance can use Form III.

* When all available niches are filled, All Hallows Parish reserves the right to remove the oldest ashes for burial elsewhere. The available space will likely not be filled for the next 100 years.

The 2024 rates for use of the Columbarium are as follows:

Deposit of Ashes: £750 (a discount is available for worshippers attending the Churches of the Pastorate of Our Lady of the Valleys, on application)

Memorial Plaque: Advised on application to Mossfords. As a guide, prices effective July 2024, inclusive of VAT, were £150 for an engraved plaque, £98 for a placeholder plaque, and £110 to remove a placeholder plaque, engrave it and replace it.

Inscription in Book of Remembrance: £20 per paragraph.

All payments (except those to Mossfords) to be made payable to “All Hallows”, by cheque (or BACS details available on application).
