Over the past year, we have seen the situation for Christians in the Holy Land become increasingly more difficult. Then, on October 7th, the area exploded into the worst conflict that the Holy Land has seen over the past 50 years. The situation for Christian family has gone from very challenging to critical, and will continue to be difficult for the people of the area whatever happens in the weeks and months ahead.

‘Friends of the Holy Land’ is uniquely well-placed as a registered charity in the Holy Land, using your charitable donations very quickly to meet families’ urgent needs in the West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem and Israel as the events unfold. Despite being a tiny minority in the area, Christians love their neighbours by running so many hospitals, social services, youth work and quality education for people of all faiths, providing infrastructure that the authorities cannot. They are a force for life and peace.

This year, donate some money for the Crib offering, to support those in need in the Holy Land as well as Caritas in the Archdiocese (https://rcadc.org/directory/commissions-committees/caritas-cardiff/ ).

You can, also, transfer money directly to the ‘Friends of the Holy Land’. Just contact treforest@rcadc.org for the details.
