We’re writing to ask for your support with our research study to explore the current landscape of dementia education and training among the adult social care workforce in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Academic experts at Leeds Beckett University are conducting this study in partnership with IFF Research on behalf of Alzheimer’s Society.
This survey is part of a wider study aiming to build a detailed picture of dementia training offer, delivery, and its effectiveness to help ensure the workforce is equipped to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for people living with dementia. In this survey, we are asking staff who provide direct care for people living with dementia in care home and home care settings to tell us about their experience of training.
Participation is in the form of an online survey and should take around 5 minutes. This particular survey is part of a wider research study, which also involves a national audit of care providers and qualitative provider case studies. We’d really appreciate your support with disseminating to your networks, as by taking part in this research, you can help Alzheimer’s Society in our mission to ensure the adult social care workforce is fully equipped to provide high-quality, person-centred care for people living with dementia.

You can stop completing the survey at any time, but any data that you have submitted to that point may be retained and used in the final report. Your personal details will be stored securely and destroyed within three months of the end of the project (currently planned for December 2025).
