Young Disciples is a weekly group that is aimed for those in secondary school (ages 11 to 18) where they can meet with like-minded young people who want to grow deeper in their faith. Each week, we’ll meet for some light food, games and fellowship with the aim to grow into a community dedicated to growing with Christ.

Last October, we began our brand-new youth group (‘Young Disciples’) for those aged 11-18. This group gave the young people in our parishes space to discover more about their own personal relationship with Our Lord and to learn more about Church teaching. It has been wonderful for both leaders and youth to come together and grow as a community dedicated to Our Lord.
But what do we do in Young Disciples? We meet every Monday during term time (not including bank holidays), play somegames, get to know one another, explore the Bible and Catechism, but most importantly grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus (through prayer and discussions). This last year, we’ve looked at topics such as forgiveness, Stations of the Cross and living for Christ. Next year, we’re hoping to start by welcoming any Confirmation candidates (as well as returning/new members) and accompanying them on their journey with our Lord and to the sacraments. If you’re interested in your child coming (or want to continue coming), please go to forms.office.com/e/5xJp4TLyMb and complete our survey. This will help us to determine when and where we’ll meet in the upcoming academic year.
