Promoted by the Circolo San Tommaso d’Aquino. The Circolo is a cultural association based in Aquino, Italy, and forms part of the Italian Bishops’ Conference Cultural Project.
Established in 2010 and now in its 14th edition, the Veritas et Amor Contest is open to young scholars and artists under the age of 35. It comprises two categories: Culture, for undergraduate and doctoral theses and monographs that reinterpret and bring Aquinas’s thought into contemporary relevance; and Art, for works in classical or contemporary artistic languages inspired by his life or thought. The Circolo is extending this opportunity to young scholars and artists at Catholic universities, colleges and other institutions across England and Wales, encouraging a new generation to engage critically and creatively with the thought of Saint Thomas Aquinas and its relevance to the contemporary world.
