If you are planning to get married in the Catholic Church, please contact the priest in the parish where you live as the first step, no matter where the wedding is to take place – this is because there is paperwork to be completed FOR EVERY WEDDING.
You will be required to attend a marriage preparation course alongside the preparation received by the parish priest, and the following gives details of forthcoming courses:

Marriage Care

Marriage Care offer marriage preparation sessions designed to equip couples with the insights and tools needed to build a healthy, lifelong marriage and family life, alongside exploring the catechesis at the heart of the Sacrament.

  1. FOCCUS© marriage preparation sessions take place throughout the year, with the day and time of the sessions being agreed between the couple and their facilitator.
  2. In-person Preparing Together Days are being delivered on the following dates (with further dates to be confirmed for Cardiff from February 2023, held in the St Vincent’s Centre at Ely Bridge):
  3. Saturday, 11th February 2023 at St Michael’s Centre, Abergavenny
  4. Saturday, 22nd April 2023 at St Helen’s Church Hall, Caerphilly
  5. Saturday, 17th June at St Iltyd’s Church Hall, Dowlais
  6. Saturday, 23rd September at Newport (venue to be confirmed)
