Please join me again this year in the world’s largest children’s Christmas project.
Our aim is to reach as many children as possible with a shoebox gift, showing them that they are loved and not forgotten.
We are thrilled to announce a new destination for UK shoeboxes this year: the Southern African nation of Malawi. Due to its dire economic situation many Malawian children grow up without proper toys and end up making their own out of clay. Your shoebox gifts will bring joy and hope to these children in ways that are truly lifechanging.
Our 2024 target is 260,000 shoeboxes. Each one represents more than just a gift – it’s a step towards transforming a child’s life. Box by box hearts are touched and life by life hope is sparked through the Gospel’s message. Will you join us in the mission to reach 260,000 children with shoebox joy?
Shoeboxes will be left in the narthex of St Dyfrig’s and in All Hallows, and I will collect them. I can also collect them from people’s homes if this is more convenient. If you feel you are unable to complete a full box, any individual items will also be accepted as long as they are able to fit into a shoebox.
This year we are unable to accept chocolates, sweets, toothpaste and any forms of liquid such as bubbles, shampoo etc. The final collection will be on the weekend of 23rd/24th November.
If physically packing shoebox gifts is difficult for you, you can still bring great joy to children by donating online at shoeboxonline.org.uk, where you can select from a range of gifts, and we’ll pack and send your shoebox for you.
Thank you so much on behalf of all the children who will receive shoeboxes this year. Your generosity will enable them to experience unimaginable joy and to hear God’s amazing love for them. Many thanks for your continued support.
